Calvary Chapel, Spokane, WA

Calvary Chapel located on the far north side of Spokane in Washington. Their facility is a converted storefront with the main sanctuary seating about 1,200 people. The floor is sloped, though the ceiling is low overall. The sanctuary is a rectangle used by width - that is, the room is much wider than it is deep. All of the wall surfaces were originally flat which created flutter echoes and other strong reflections to various parts of the seating area and back onto the platform. The audio system was a distributed speaker system that lacked even coverage and clarity.

For the acoustics, a number of diffusive panels and bass traps were installed.

The audio system was replaced with new speakers and amplifiers.

The final room sounds great, the finished audio system fills the room with evenly with high-quality sound.

Note - the side walls are built with 4-foot wide sections that are each splayed 4-inches.
This isn't enough to reduce/eliminate the audible reflections.

Shown below is the initial framing for mounting the acoustical panels.

Nice and neat cables... they way it should be!

the right rack holds the amplifiers for the floor monitors, the monitor patch panel and snake inputs.
A couple storage drawers help hold extra batteries for wireless mics and such.
