| Models can be used to help visualize new buildings and new
products. Scale models can also help us test certain aspects of
the room or product better than a line drawing on paper or even
a computer model.
After testing many different materials, we found that foam-board
insulation is hard enough, stiff enough, and reflects sound in
a way very similar to drywall.
Building a model to one-twelfth scale gives us a large enough
model that we can actually test some acoustical aspects of the
room.
We expect to show several models in the near future.
